How to Pimp Out a Roadster

The roadster is a classic. With its open top and 2 seats, a pimped out roadster always causes heads to turn on the road. Some roadsters date back to the 1920's. These cars have a nostalgic appeal, but they lack many modern day conveniences. Thankfully, it's possible to upgrade these cars to make them classic and comfortable.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Inside the Roadster

Step1
Install heating and air conditioning. Nothing says modern convenience like climate control.
Step2
Pick out top-notch electronics. Stereos, GPS systems and DVD players are just some of the options to bring your roadster into the 21st century.
Step3
Put in power windows. This can be done by adding an after-market power window kit.
Step4
Upgrade your seats. Leather seats add value and comfort to your ride.

Outside the Roadster

Step1
Build a removable hard top. The roadster is known for having a fabric top or no top at all. Adding a removable hard top allows you to use your roadster during all seasons and all types of weather.
Step2
Mount flush-fitted doors. This reduces wind noise and paint scuffs that are often found in roadsters with their original doors.
Step3
Glide over the pavement with new independent suspension. The ride in some of the older models can be rough, but this ensures a smooth ride.
Step4
Add more leg room. Because the roadster has only 2 seats, space can be limited. But you can build an extended cab, which allows for more room.
Step5
Paint. A flashy new paint job is eye catching. It's also a good time to repair any dings and dents that may be in the body.
Step6
Select new wheels. From the tires to the hub caps, your wheels can instantly modernize a car.
