A toothbrush caddy is a small holder for toothbrushes. This caddy is easy to clean and has a modern style. You can personalize for each member of the family.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 yards of 20-gauge wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Pliers
  • Test tubes for each member of the family
  • 1 4-by-9 inch piece of wood
  • Paint
  • Drill
  • Staple gun
  • Sawtooth hanger
  • Hammer
  • 1 bag of large flat rocks
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Alphabet stickers
  • 1 bag of pebbles
  1. Step 1

Measure and cut 30 inches of wire for each test tube. Twist the wire around the test tube starting about half way down the tube. Leave 6 inches of wire free to connect to the wall. At the bottom of the tube, make the spiral smaller so the toothbrush holder cannot fall out.

  2. Step 2

Paint the wood any color you choose.

  3. Step 3

Measure 3 inches, 4 1/2 inches and 6 inches along the side of the board and mark the measurements. Drill holes in the boards at the measuring marks. The hole needs to be big enough for the wires to slide through.

  4. Step 4

Attach a sawtooth hanger to the top center on the back of the toothbrush holder. The sawtooth hanger eventually holds the toothbrush caddy to the wall.

  5. Step 5

Glue flat rocks onto the board for decoration. Be careful not cover the drilled holes.

  6. Step 6

Take the test tubes out of the wire and slide the 6-inch piece of wire through the holes in the board. Leave 1 inch of wire in front of the wood. Bend the wire up onto the back of the board and staple it down. Use 2 staples on each wire.

  7. Step 7

Personalize each tube with alphabet stickers. Place the initials of each family member on their own test tubes.

  8. Step 8

Place the tube in the wire holder and fill the tube 1/4- to 1/2-way with small pebbles.

  9. Step 9

Attach the caddy to the wall. Hammer a nail into a stud in the wall. Hang the sawtooth hanger on the nail.
