Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- 22 42-inch long PVC pipes
- 2 90-degree elbow joints
- 6 45-degree elbow joints
- 4 "T" connectors
- 2 4-way cross connectors
- 3 4-way corners
- 4 3-way corners
- 2 60-inch long PVC pipes
- 6 1 1/2-inch long PVC pipes
- 1 12-by-16 foot tarp
- 26 3/4-by-4 inch snap clamps
Step1
Assemble the sides. Create two sides with five 42-inch pipes each. Use 90-degree elbow joints on the bottom of one end. Use a "T" connector to connect the bottom two 42-inch pipes. Put a 3-way corner on the other end of the bottom piece. Insert 42 inch pipes into all three of the top connectors.
Step2
Attach a "T" connector on the end with the elbow joint. Secure a 4-way cross on the middle pipe and a 4-way corner on the other end of the pipe. Connect the top connectors together horizontally using two 42-inch pipes, one on each section. Repeat for the other side.
Step3
Connect the two sides together with the two 62-inch pipes. Place one side on the bottom into the open 3-way connectors. Place the other across the top into the sides of the open 4-way connectors. Your frame should now have a "U" shape.
Step4
Insert 1 1/2 inch pipes into the top open connectors of the frame. Slide the 45-degree elbow joints onto the 1 1/2 inch pipes.
Step5
Insert the 42-inch pipes into each open joint. Connect these together on the ends with the 3-way corner connectors and in the middle with a 4-way corner connector.
Step6
Attach the connectors together with the two remaining 42-inch pipes.
Step7
Cover the frame with the 12-by-16 foot tarp to make the protective cover. Wrap the edge of the tarp around the outside of the PVC pipes. Snap the clamps onto the tarp and pipes. Use 13 for each end of the frame.
