How to Visit SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld San Diego, the first of the SeaWorld parks, was founded in 1964. It sits on 22 acres along the Mission Bay district of San Diego, CA, just north of downtown. Visitors to the park can see a variety of sea creatures and mammals, enjoy the rides and delight in the elaborate live animal shows.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Purchase Tickets. Tickets to SeaWorld are available at the SeaWorld ticket booth or you can print your own tickets, right from your computer. Discounts are offered for children 3 to 10 years old. Children under three enter free of charge. SeaWorld San Diego is open year round.

  2. Step 2

    See the Exhibits. SeaWorld features a number of exhibits that let guests get close to the aquatic creatures. The most popular of these are the "Penguin Encounter" and the "Rocky Point Preserve," where visitors can pet the bottlenose dolphins.

  3. Step 3

    Attend at least one show. SeaWorld is famous for its live animal shows. You'll see Shamu rise high above the water and interact with his trainer, witness the sea lions' antics and watch the bottlenose dolphins amaze the crowd.

  4. Step 4

    Ride the rides. In addition to the animal attractions, SeaWorld features a number of thrilling amusement park-style rides, including "Journey to Atlantis," "Shipwreck Rapids," "Wild Arctic" and "the SeaWorld Skytower."

  5. Step 5

    Watch the fireworks. Every evening in the summer, SeaWorld's "Skyblast" fireworks display delights visitors. The extravaganza blends choreographed fireworks with popular music.

Sea World is lots of fun! Definitely go if you can.
