How to Buy an Atari Console

Long before the Wii, Playstation, Game Cube or Xbox 360, there was Atari. It was a console ahead of its time and everyone had one, or begged for one. Games like Pong and Pac-Man set the premises for the future of the video game console. To buy an Atari console seems like an easy feat, but since it is a collectors item now it is not as easy to find one as you might think.

Instructions

    • 1

Call indie game stores in your area. Ask if they carry old Atari console and what the price is. Also, find out if they carry games and how much those are. Write all this information down, along with the name of the game store and the phone number, for easy access later.

    • 2

Check out sites like eBay and Amazon for good deals on Atari consoles. One might think that because they are old, they are cheap, but they might be more expensive than you think. Note which sellers have the best deals on their Atari console and how much the shipping is for it.

    • 3

Look over your notes and choose the best deal to buy your Atari console.

    • 4

Buy your Atari console wherever it is cheapest, be it eBay, Amazon or a game store. If you can find Atari games, buy those as well.

    • 5

Take your console home and enjoy your Atari games.
