Things You'll Need:
- Pencil
- Paper
- Markers

Step 1
Look carefully at a picture of Bart Simpson. Notice his distinctive features such as his spiked hair, large round eyes, small chin, nose, mouth and ears. If you don't have a picture handy, the Simpsons website has a picture of him on the home page.
-
Step 2
Draw a cylinder shape about two inches long. A cylinder is the shape of a soda-pop can. Draw the lines lightly since you will be erasing part of them later.
-
Step 3
Erase the top part of the cylinder and replace this straight line with his spiky hair using a jagged up and down motion with your pencil. Stay with the curve of the previous cylinder line while drawing the hair line.
-
Step 4
Create Bart's ear by erasing a small section of the bottom right side of the cylinder and then drawing Bart's ear. Place it just above the bottom cylinder line using your Bart picture to help you decide where it should go. Then draw two "C" shapes, one inside of the other to finish his ear.
-
Step 5
Sketch two big even round circles in the middle of the cylinder for his eyes. Imagine the cylinder being divided into three even horizontal sections and make sure the eyes fill up the middle section. Draw two smaller dots in the very middle of the circles you just made for his pupils. His left eye runs into the left side of the cylinder, just erase this part of the cylinder.
-
Step 6
Make his nose. It is shaped like a horse-shoe with the curve turned to the left. Draw it so the top of his nose touches the bottom and middle right section of his left eye. Erase any part of the eye you need to.
-
Step 7
Give him a mouth by simply placing a comma mark three quarters of the way over to the right on the bottom cylinder line. Erase the remaining line. Finish his face by drawing his chin underneath the middle of that bottom cylinder line and continuing down on a slow diagonal line to the right until you've made his chin and neck.
