Many people wish to draw religious symbols. It's easy if you could see the little parts and draw them before completing the entire religious symbol.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look at the religious symbols you intend to draw. Get a scrap paper and draw them. They won't look perfect your first try. Go back and look at the religious symbols again. Look for basic geometric patterns. A cross, for example, has a long, rectangle crossed by a shorter rectangle. Put a circle on it and you have a Celtic cross.

  2. Step 2

Draw the basic geometric figures lightly, with your pencil. Draw one long rectangle; draw another one crossing it toward the top at 90 degree angles. Use a ruler's straight edge to help you with straight lines. Lightly erase the square in the middle.

  3. Step 3

Use the same principle when drawing other religious symbols. Draw triangles for the Star of David. Draw a star and a moon for one of the Muslim religious symbols.

  4. Step 4

Lightly draw lines at 45 degree angles to one side of the religious symbol using a ruler as your guide. Do this only with religious symbols with straight geometrical figures. Use three dimensional figures as a basis to draw religious symbols such as the Menorah.

  5. Step 5

Grab a ruler, and pick a smaller measurement. Measure this distance on every 45 degree angle that you drew. Connect the dots to get a three dimensional effect. Go back and erase the extra lines around the religious symbol.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pick any group of religious symbols shown in a photograph. Draw light lines on the photographs. Make sure these lines cross each other at 90 degrees angles to create a grid. Draw a similar grid on your paper, same number of boxes on this second grid. Box by box, draw the parts of your religious symbols.
