1
Choose a jungle. Decide whether you want to design an African jungle safari, re-create a scene from the Australian Outback or produce an Asian jungle adventure.
-
2
Determine the color scheme. You can go with pale blues for boys, pinks for girls or gender-neutral greens, yellows and earth tones for either a boy or girl.
-
-
3
Buy bedding. Once you have decided on the colors you would like for your baby's nursery, buy the bedding that adheres most closely to the colors you have chosen.
-
4
Paint the walls. Look at the different colors in bedding you have bought and choose either one of the colors in the bedding or a different, but complementary, color for the walls.
-
5
Purchase pictures. Be sure the pictures you choose stay within the same jungle theme of the rest of the nursery. For example, if you went with an African safari theme, find pictures of lions and giraffes. If you decided an Australian Outback was the way to go, find pictures of kangaroos and koala bears.

6
Get curtains. The curtains do not have to be the same print as the bedding. Instead, use the same color scheme but in solid colors for the curtains.
-
7
Choose area rugs. Again, these don't have to match the same pattern as the bedding and may be a solid color within the same color scheme as the nursery.

Tips & Warnings
Paint the nursery a month before the baby is expected. By then, the fumes from the paint will be gone.
If you can't find curtains you like, consider going to a fabric store and making your own. They are simple to make with just a few hemlines to sew.
Always choose water-based latex paints that have no unhealthy Volatile Organic Compounds.
Don't forget to buy rubber-gripping mats for area rugs that do not already have a non-slip backing. You don't want to run the risk of slipping and falling, especially if you are holding the baby.
