How to Visit the San Juan Islands

Are you interested in visiting a vacation hot spot where the sun shines most the year? The go to the San Juan Islands, sure it may not be Hawaii but it would cost you the Hawaii prices either. Drive their trails, or watch the wildlife. Enjoy the warm breezes as the San Juan beaches massage your feet. Or you could enjoy art galleries and shopping. Instructions

1. Visit a San Juan web page and look through the different information. Check their links to "getting here & around," as well as to "Places to stay & availability." Go to Google Earth and get a bird's eye view of the islands. Go to YouTube.comn and search for videos related to San Juan.

2. Figure out how you're going to go into the island: air, road, sea? You can take an airplane, seaplane or a ferry from just south of Vancouver, B.C. Plan the flight if it's available on a travel website.

3. Go to Travelocity, Orbitz or another travel site and book your trip. Find the best hotel and airline fare. Get everything you need for the travel together and in one spot. Don't spend the day before, or the morning of, the trip looking for missing items.

4. Look over the San Juan Island map and plan your visit. Match your interests to the visit. View the hiking, biking and driving tours if you're an outdoors person. Search for indoor activities if you're not crazy about being outdoors.
