1
Reserve the use of your church well in advance of the big day. It's generally not a popular time for weddings, but there may be other groups that want to use the facilities, so plan ahead.
-
2
Arrange for the set up of several televisions. One big screen may be enough in the main seating area, but you also should place others around the room so people won't miss any action as they move around the room.

3
Set up a room for younger children to hang out and arrange for babysitters. If little ones have a place they can go play or work on crafts, parents will have a much better time watching the game.
-
4
Ask families to sign up to bring their favorite appetizers, snacks or beverages. You provide cups, plates and decorations. Don't try to do it all yourself. Exhausted and stressed is no way for you to attend a Super Bowl party.

5
Arrange a football pool that awards prizes every quarter instead of money. Have people recite a bible verse to "buy" their squares and give the winners silly prizes when they win. If you have a lot of people, you can do one for the adults and a separate pool for kids.

6
Tell everyone to bring a bag of candy and play "Pass the Cup." Whoever starts the game holds the cup and says "touchdown." Then for each play that isn't a touchdown, they drop in a candy and pass the cup to the next person. Keep passing the cup until a touchdown is scored and whoever is holding the cup on that play wins the candy. You can also call things like "first down" or "field goal."
