Minute Maid Park is home to the Houston Astros and is located in downtown Houston at Union Station. The ballpark features quirks like Tal's Hill, a small hill in far center field elevated at ten degrees. The ballpark also reflects Houston's relationship with the railroad with a locomotive that travels across the left field wall. Here is how you can get a glimpse of the workings of Minute Maid Park.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Check the schedule of tours available at Minute Maid Park. Tours are available most days throughout the season except Sundays. You can find the list of available tour dates on the Houston Astros' website.
Step2
Purchase tickets for a tour. You can purchase tickets online from the Houston Astros website or you can get tickets from the Shed, which is the retail store for the Astros located at Union Station. You need to purchase your tickets at least 15 minutes before your tour.
Step3
Take an Early Bird Tour before a game you are planning on attending. Early Bird Tours are offered an hour before evening games during the year. These tours are limited to the first 50 people who want to take the tour so show up early. Early Bird Tours are not available before day games. You must have a game ticket to participate in an Early Bird Tour.
Step4
Arrange a private reserved tour for a group of 25 or more. You can get a discounted group price for reserved tours. You need to book a group tour at least 2 weeks in advance by calling (713) 259-TOUR or by emailing.
Step5
Park in the correct place when you show up for your tour. If you arranged a private reserved tour, you will be given instructions on where to park. For normal tours, you may park free in the Diamond Club parking off of Texas Avenue. You are not allowed to park in the Diamond Club parking for an Early Bird Tour.
