Ivy League colleges like Yale, Stanford, Vassar and Princeton are actively recruiting the nation's brightest and best students from low-income families. The Questbridge scholarship means that bright, motivated students no longer need worry about paying for their education, if they qualify for admissions to these schools.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Transcripts
  • Required exams
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Financial statements

Step1
Go to the Questbridge website to read the eligibility criteria for the National College Match scholarship. You can also get information about each of the 20 participating colleges here.
Step2
Start collecting the documents that you need to complete the Questbridge application. Generally, you have just one month plus a few extra days to submit the application, along with the required documentation.
Step3
Complete the application by the September deadline if you plan to attend college next fall. Meeting the program's deadline makes you eligible for an early admissions decision.
Step4
Register and take required exams by October, if you want to be included in the National College Match pool of candidates. Recipients get a four-year all expense scholarship at a participating college.
Step5
Submit your test scores, high school transcripts, essays and other required documents for the Questbridge scholarship and for admissions to one of the participating colleges.
Step6
Expect to receive a Questbridge finalist notification in October. National College Match scholarship recipients are notified before December.
Step7
Apply for the Regular Admissions scholarship if you are a Questbridge finalist, but did not receive a full scholarship. You can still receive a great financial aid package from one of the participating colleges. Questbridge Regular Admissions applicants still receive priority attention. However, the colleges make final admissions decisions on the same schedule used for their normal admission applicants.
