Step 1
Go to the CaféPress website and click "Start Selling Now" to begin. Create your CaféPress Account by filling out the required information (basic things like name, email address, password, birth date). After submitting that information, answer the next set of questions about your type of designs, your own website or blog URL and more.

Step 2
Choose and enter a store name and store ID when prompted. After submitting that information, you will see the name and URL for your new CaféPress store. Save these, and your password from the first step, for future reference. The link will be especially important when promoting your new store.

Step 3
Design your product line. Using a graphic design program, make your art, logos and designs. Upload your work as specified in the Café Press "Image Workshop." The best format is PNG (Portable Network Graphics), which creates the most true-to-image picture. The resolution of the images is also important (200-300 dpi is best); read the guidelines carefully before uploading your pictures.

Step 4
Choose which CaféPress items—such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, greeting cards, stuffed bears, and more—you will include for each of your designs. Keep in mind the type of art and the product. Many T-shirt logos would not work as well on items like mugs and puzzles, for example.

Step 5
Start selling your items. If you have a blog, link to your store from your blog. Spread the word by including your CaféPress Account Store URL in your email signature. Post about your store on related sites. If your CaféPress store is about hunting dogs, for example, advertise it for free by including your link in posts you write on hunting dog sites.
