How to Tweeze Eyebrows for Face Shape

Properly tweezed eyebrows open up your eyes and improve your appearance instantly. A perfect eyebrow starts from the inner corner of the eye, arches just beyond the outer curve of the iris and narrows down at the edge of the eye. This definition is the basis upon which slight changes can be applied to suit the shape of individual faces.

Instructions

1. Keep the brow line natural by tweezing just the stray hairs and in between the brows for an oval shape face. Oval is the ideal face shape and any natural shape of the eyebrows works well with an oval face. Keeping the brows thin maintains the delicateness of this shape.

2. Make a round face appear more oval by arching the brow high and leaving the tapering part small. By having a high peak, the eye opens up vertically instead of sideways. It also gives a facelift and a youthful appearance.

3. Tweeze the eyebrows flat for an elongated face by keeping the arch low. This opens the eyes horizontally to give the illusion of an oval face.

4. Round the eyebrows with softer peaks for a heart shape face. This shape is similar to oval with a slight taper at the chin. Adding a curve to the peak of the brow softens the heart shape.

5. Leave the brow thick for a square face with a strong jaw line. Align the peak of the brow in line with the widest angle of the jaw to balance out the square appearance of the face.

6. Soften the angular appearance of a diamond shape face by rounding the eyebrows or peak the arch to balance the width.

• Always have a professional tweeze your eyebrows. Hair roots on your eyebrows are thin and delicate. With aging they take longer to grow back.

• Do not pluck your eyebrows from the top, as it would flatten the natural arch of the brows. Tweeze the brows from under to get the desired shape.
