Step 1
Don't be a fashion disaster. If you are a walking fashion calamity, style gurus Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are looking for you. Nominate yourself to appear in one of What Not To Wear's extraordinary upcoming shows. Or if you know someone who is a fashion failure, secretly nominate them to be chosen as the next makeover victim. If your nominee gets selected, you may be able to appear on the show as their friend.
-
Step 2
Watch for upcoming shows. What Not To Wear is featuring new ideas of fashion makeovers. Check out the following upcoming shows: Reunite (A makeover before you reunite with someone important to you), Stuck in the eighties (update your fashion sense from 1980's to 2000's), Mothers and Daughters (A mother/daughter makeover) or Triplets (Triplets made over into fashion glory) If you qualify for any of these shows, you could be chosen as the next featured fashion disaster. Watch for upcoming shows ideas or the latest in show themes.

Step 3
Follow the link in the Resources section below to apply to the show. If you qualify for any of these, fill out and submit the required application or email to submit your story. Try to sell your story or yourself in a way that would be interesting to viewers and the show's audience. As you apply, think about how to make your story and personality can stand out among the other applicants. Be original, genuine, but most importantly yourself.

on 7/3/2009 im not quite sure how far this small blog will get me with you guys, but im hoping to get help. me and my boyfriend could not be having a harder time right now, along with many MANY other american. however what im getting at is i love to watch your show, while it steams me a bit to think you may be a bit prejudice. you seem to want to help people that have the money to help themselves but choose to dress the way they do. people that have jobs and cant get higher in there careers because of the way they dress, my point is boyfriend has no job, the town we live in is impossible to find anything. if we are able to have ANY money clothing is not something we would be putting it towards. having a new wordrobe would be any amazing blessing for him. while it would almost be embarrassing for him to even make an appearence with his sad 3 shirts and 2 pairs of pants it really might not be much...

on 6/30/2009 Hello Stacy and Clinton,
I am the mother of an 18 year ild girl that as just graduated from High School. My mother was born in Germany and did not have the fashion knowledge to pass on to me and I have done the same to my daughter. We need help for every aspect of fashion from head to toe, inside and out. I have noticed my daughters self- esteem is very low. I am 46 and have learned to live with my lack of fashion but I want my daughter to have every opportunity available. Thank you for listening.

on 6/18/2009 Dear TLC What Not to Wear:
My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in September (9/11/99). During the past 10 years, My husband worked to finish putting me to school. We got pregnant about the same time that I graduated with a teaching degree. Unfortunately, after about 3 years in the classroom I started having a few medical problems. Through all of this my husband has been both provider, father,"care giver" and my best friend. I would love for both of us to be able to get a make over. Him for all he has been to me. Me because I've gained so much weight that I no longer know how to dress for my size and age. I would really like for him to come home (he has just started trucking in order to provide for us) to find his bride in something other than sweats or shorts and a t-shirt. It would also be nice to look like the proud parents that we are of our beauti...

on 5/12/2009 Hi Stacey and Clinton,My name is Myrissa and the individual I am writing to get a helping hand is Michelle my cousin. She is constantly wearing brown and believes that things always have to match. And I follow your rule to a tee, "Clothes and accesories don't have to match, they just have to go." No matter how many times I tell her these things she just doesn't hear me. Another thing, is that she is so beautiful, and she takes care fo herself really well, working out at the gym and hiking every weekend. She has put her body in such a great shape that I think it will be great to see her flaunt some of the styles Stacey is famous for. Like your wrap dresses and sequinned tops with little detail but great conformity. Also, her hair and makeup have always been a bit dull and unplayed, and I know that Carmindy and your hairstylist can't spell his name will make the greatest team to better...
