1
Huddle friends and family for a party that is sure to be a touchdown. Get creative with your party invitations. Try a unique store bought football themed invite, graphically design one with a picture of your football guy or use craft paper and stickers to make them by hand. Be sure to include party details: time, location and theme. Encourage your guests to sport their favorite football team or player.

2
Take it to the fields or an open park if you are able to host your party outside and the weather permits. Where better to have a football party then at a football field. This will make your party more memorable as a true football party.

Add some color to your party with balloons, signs and streamers. If your space permits, make a large field goal. For a big entrance, you could also make a big paper sign that the guest could break through. Or try a big balloon arch. Table décor, serving bowls or platters, plates and napkins are also an easy way to add color and decoration.

As the birthday kid, let your little football player dress up in a full uniform of their favorite team or in something special and unique in a football theme. Also, kick it up a notch with a special way to celebrate your child and their special day. Host family members wear a white tee, and then paint a letter of the kid's name on each family member. All lined up, you and your family can spell out their name. You could even go as far as painting your faces like a true fan.

Plan to bring a few footballs and rally up your guests for a scrimmage or just tossing around the pigskin. If you are really ambitious, set up a few football themed games. Toss the football into the hole or even a basket (use a piece of partical board or plywood to make a hole for football to fit or simply use laundry baskets), face painting (this is a hit for younger kids) or try a spirit contest (divide your guests into two groups...and see who can cheer the loudest).

Carry the football theme into the menu. Serve concession stand food for a sure hit. Hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos and chips are an easy way to serve concession stand food. If you are at a park, you may need to bring a small grill to cook food.
