1
Gather friends and family for a kick'n celebration. Be creative with a soccer invitation. Check your local party store or order soccer themed invitations online. Or if you are crafty, make soccer ball invitations by hand with construction paper and stickers. If you are creative with computer design software, make an invitation with your child's picture and that it is their day to be an MVP. Another fun graphic idea is to make a "players" trading card. Put their picture on the front, then flip the paper and print the party "stats" on the back. The possibilities are endless! Send invitations 1 to 2 weeks prior to the party.

Plan to have your party at a soccer field or an open area park if you have a Spring, Summer or Fall birthday party. Line your area with soccer cones or set up soccer goals at either end of your "soccer field". There are inflatable goals available at toy stores or online.

Add some color to your party with balloons, signs and streamers. Use your favorite team's colors or create central themed colors. Decorate your tables with green butcher paper and design a field with white paper for the field lines. Napkins, plates and serving bowls also add color to your tables. Add party favors to your tables' décor: mini soccer balls, referee whistles or mini cones make that extra perfect touch.

Let your soccer player dress up in a full uniform of their favorite team or in something special and unique in soccer theme. A fun way to get the whole family involved is to use a computer program to design a transfer to iron onto a t-shirts for each person: Soccer Mom, Soccer Dad, and Soccer Bro/Sis.

Plan a soccer game: two teams of kids, or kids vs. parents. Also try a soccer skills relay. Set up cones that the teams will race through while kicking the soccer ball. Another soccer game idea is to place laundry baskets sideways as "mini" goals. Let the kids kick away for fun and scoring.

6
Carry the soccer theme into the menu. Check out your local grocery deli for a sub. Look for a foot long or one that comes round, like a soccer ball. Chips, fruit and side salad (noodle salad or potato salad) make a healthy lunch or dinner.

7
Try a unique soccer themed cake, giant cookie or cupcakes. Try a round soccer shaped, orange cone or soccer jersey. Also a sheet cake with a soccer field or edible picture decorated on it is great cake idea. Looking for something more unique then cake? Decorate and arrange cupcakes to go with your soccer theme. Take a larger soccer cone and make cardboard or foam board "platforms" to go over the cone. Take a piece of board and cut it into a circle that is as wide as the bottom of the cone. Cut a hole in the center that will allow the cone to fit. Make two of these so that you can have two "platforms." Then line decorated cupcakes around the platforms. This is a similar idea to a "snack" tray. Get creative and try fun and unique ideas.

Thank your guests for coming to your party with a fun and unique gift. Have t-shirts made with a cool soccer logo on them. Or fill little goodie bags with soccer themed stickers, pencils, suckers or small "hackie sack" soccer balls.
