Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Look in the classifieds for classic cars in your area. Be careful to look at each one yourself, or with a mechanic, to ensure you are buying a car that's sound and in, if not good working condition, one that's possible to restore to good working condition. Check to see if the Royal Purple paint is original. There is a paint code contained in the VIN.
Step2
Check out publications like Hemmings Motor News for classic cars. This publication has a wealth of information about classic cars available for sale across the country. Carefully inspect these cars before buying them, either by yourself or with a mechanic.
Step3
Attend auto auctions. You may find these listed in the phone book, or at such sites such as Barrett-Jackson.com or R M Auctions. Royal Purple cars may be more prevalent there.
Step4
Go to car shows. These can be held at country fairs, at shopping malls, and anywhere. Look in the paper for them, or at fliers posted at auto part stores.
Step5
Ask the people at auto part stores for news of any Royal Purple classic cars for sale.
