Thailand is becoming more important in the global business scene every year. With that comes the need for its citizens to learn English. Would you like to live in Thailand and get a job teaching English? Here's how you can do it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • College degree
  • Passport and work visa
  1. Step 1

Have a college degree. Although the demand for good English teachers is high, no one will be considered without a college degree. This also means that teaching certificates or experience teaching, especially in Thailand, will be preferred.

  2. Step 2

Get your TESL training before you apply. While not necessary, having training in Teaching English as a Second Language can definitely give you a leg up in better-paying, more competitive markets.

  3. Step 3

Narrow down your possibilities. Before you start searching for a job, think about some of the details. Pick an area you would like to live and work. Then choose a type of school that you want to work for. Then search for jobs that meet one or both of those criteria.

  4. Step 4

Search for jobs using an online job board or by visiting Thailand. Although a visit may land you a job immediately, it could also be a waste of your time and money.
