Step 1
Choose the Bible story you want to tell. Decide how many blocks you need to make. Give each block a scene from the story.

Be creative when designing each story block for your quilt. Different items or pictures can represent important lessons of the story. If you want, one of the blocks can be the title block for the quilt.

Draw each block out on paper or design it using graphics from computer software. PowerPoint offers excellent layout and graphics tools for designing the quilt blocks. You may find just the scene for your quilt blocks in a children's Bible coloring book.

Step 4
Next, trace and cut out your image from your different colored fabrics. Carefully sew all the fabric pieces together to create each story block.

Step 5
Sew the blocks together in the correct sequence to make the quilt top after all the blocks are finished.

Step 6
Assemble the quilt as you would any other quilt by adding the batting and backing.
