If you have decided to become a web hosting reseller, your next step will be to compare various reseller packages to find the one that best suits the needs of your business and the goals you have set. When comparing resell web hosting packages, there are five important steps that every reseller should follow.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide which of the following four issues are most important to you as a business owner. Remember that it is important to make a profit, keep customer satisfaction high and partner with a company that you can trust.

  2. Step 2

Evaluate the big versus the small name companies. Big name companies usually have a reputation that you can trust and often sell wholesale packages to resellers, but small name companies may have the best value.

  3. Step 3

Look for cheap prices. This is a good way to get the most for your money, but you will need to consider what, if anything, you will be sacrificing to get that lower price and determine if the sacrifice is worth the savings you will receive.

  4. Step 4

Choose between purchasing a whole versus pre-split package. "Whole" means that you buy one big package and "pre-split" means that you buy a certain number of smaller packages (there is usually a minimum amount that you can purchase).

  5. Step 5

Consider the quality of a company's customer service and technical support teams, since you will be using them for your own customers. This reliability may be worth the small hit to your profit because it will keep your customers happy.
