Wake from your doldrums and realize we're not alone. Get outside, seize what little sense you might have left and snap as many pictures of slightly obscured, out-of-focus and generally unusable specks in the sky you can muster. If you believe that life outside of earth exists, read on to learn how to photograph a UFO.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Risk electrocution, high levels of magnetic interference and a never-ending seclusion from society by waiting for visitors from the stars to show themselves under high voltage power lines. Getting to them before dawn is not only smart to avoid traffic and what is sure to be an unruly parking situation, but also because experts say this is the best time to see UFOs.
Step2
Mount your camera on a tripod. Whether you are using a disposable, the highest mega-pixel camera on the planet or a state-of-the-art video camera, a shaky picture does not help your credibility any.
Step3
Add validity to your footage by filming video or capturing still photos of the object moving in front of a stationary object. People and recognizable structures in your footage as stationary objects work wonders.
Step4
Zoom in and out on the object repeatedly. True UFOs appear proportional to the kind of space covered between yourself and the object.
Step5
Photograph a UFO using different apertures and speeds, but be sure to use film, not digital, as skeptics tend to discredit digital photography off-hand, as opposed to eventually with every other form of photography.

Tips & Warnings

  • Hide your camera immediately, but not in your home. Use a place no one will think you will use, such as a place of employment or a fictional girlfriend's house.
