For racing pigeon enthusiasts, racing pigeons is an exciting sport. The only thing that might make it better, would be joining a club with like-minded enthusiasts. If there isn't a club in your area, why not create one yourself? There are bound to be others who would be eager to join. Read on to learn how to start a pigeon racing club.

  1. Step 1

    Create a website for the pigeon racing club.

  2. Step 2

    Make posters advertising the club and post them where others can see them.

  3. Step 3

    Tell all your homing pigeon enthusiast friends about your club and ask them to join.

  4. Step 4

    Find members at pigeon races by talking with other participants, and invite them to join your club.

  5. Step 5

    Create a club constitution and bylaws which spells out club protocols and its purpose.

  6. Step 6

    Establish ground rules for your pigeon racing club. This helps to prevent dissatisfaction, as well as can help prevent cliques from forming.

  7. Step 7

    State clearly in the club's constitution how officials will be chosen and what their responsibilities will be.

  8. Step 8

    Include information in the constitution about how disputes will be handled.

  9. Step 9

    Begin the constitution with preamble that states the purpose of the club.

    Describe the member requirements. You can have members with a range of abilities, including beginners to more advanced pigeon handlers and racers.
