Step 1
Seek out the perfect multi-head shower system for your bath. This varies on personal preferences and there are a lot of choices out there. Just make sure the one you choose will fit into your shower. Take measurements of your shower with you to the stores, and if possible, all who will be using the shower should go to the store. It is helpful to stand under models in the store to see if the different heads fit your needs and size before you install them.
-
Step 2
Find the easiest way to access the plumbing and do what you need to be able to access the water lines. This may involve going through a closet or other wall behind the shower and cutting a rectangular hole in the drywall. Be careful to cut out only what you need and remove the section of drywall carefully so you can replace it after the shower head installation is complete.
-
Step 3
Take out the old showerhead. Make sure to turn off the water at the main valve before beginning any work.
-
Step 4
Remove any necessary tiles, and replace any that will cover where the old showerhead was installed.
-
Step 5
Make any necessary changes to the plumbing lines through the access area that you identified earlier. These modifications should be indicated on the new showerhead packaging.
-
Step 6
Install the new showerhead following the manufacturer's directions.
-
Step 7
Close any holes that were created to gain access to the plumbing lines. Re-texture and paint the wall if necessary after the multi-head shower install is complete.
