Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 42-inch aluminum pipes 1 1/2 inches in diameter
  • Tape measure
  • Allen wrench
  • 4 57-inch aluminum pipes 1 1/2 inches in diameter
  • 12 1-1/2-inch speed rail couplers
  • 2 87-inch aluminum pipes 1 1/2 inches in diameter
  • 8 1-by-8 inch boards cut 44 inches in length
  • 3 2-by-4 inch boards cut 87 inches in length
  • 4 plastic pipe end covers
  • Full size mattress
  1. Step 1

Lay a 42-inch pipe on the floor. Place three couplers on the 42-inch pipe. Place the first couplers 1 foot from the end of the pipe with the open socket facing sideways. Sit the second couplers on top of the first ones with the open socket facing up. Place the third coupler 1 foot higher than the second one. Tighten the couplers into place with an Allen wrench. Repeat for the other three 42-inch pipes.

  2. Step 2

Slide the 57-inch pipes into the upward facing connectors on two of the 42-inch pipes. Turn the frame sideways. Attach the other two legs with the corresponding couplers. Tighten then into place with the Allen wrench.

  3. Step 3

Insert the 87-inch pipes into the open couplers. This creates the bed frame.

  4. Step 4

Lay one 2-by-4 on the floor. Measure 27 1/2 inches up the board. Lay the second 2-by-4 on the floor and measure another 27 1/2 inches. Place the third 2-by-4 on the floor at the 27 1/2 inch mark. Center the 1-by-8 boards across the 2-by-4s. Leave about 1 inch in between the boards. The 1-by-8 boards need hang 1 inch over the side of the 2-by-4s. Nail the boards into each 2-by-4 and place it in the frame.

  5. Step 5

Place the full-sized mattress onto the frame.
