How to Export Video Using Compressor
Compressor is the powerful video compiling software included with the Final Cut Pro software suite. It is able to output many different types of video files and soundtrack options. Render and save the video project in Final Cut Pro. Highlight the desired sequence in the "Project" list and under "File" choose "Export Using Compressor."

Wait for the Compressor software to open and automatically import the desired sequence. This may take a minute.

Click on the drop down list indicator under "Setting."

Choose the appropriate setting in the list. DVD settings fall into two basic categories: Fastest Encode or Best Quality. Decide which is best for the application and choose the time closest to (but longer than) the length of the project. 16:9 is for wide screen projects and 4:3 for standard video. DVD settings will produce multiple soundtrack files if "All" is chosen in the sub-pane. This is generally best.

Select web download options for MPEG-1, MPEG-4 or H-264 files. Ipod compatible video is created with the iPod Video option.

Find other types of files under the "Motion Graphics" options.

Select a destination for the final files. Video may take minutes or hours to compile depending on the file type selected (iPod Video, for example, takes a great deal of time).
