Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch the History Channel and other cable channels that feature art documentaries. If you miss a show, they are usually repeated later in the week. Sometimes DVDs of the programs (or similar programs) are available.

  2. Step 2

Enroll in a Renaissance art appreciation course at your local college or museum. Your local museum may also offer lectures, tours and seminars about Renaissance sculpture.

  3. Step 3

Buy books about Michelangelo, Donatello and other Italian Renaissance sculptors. These books are usually quite heavy and full of lush photographs of the artwork for you to indulge and appreciate.

  4. Step 4

Look at photographs of sculptures on art websites and read about their history. Sometimes websites offer miniature replicas of the artwork, like Michelangelo's David.

  5. Step 5

Find larger reproductions of Renaissance sculptures on fine gallery web pages. Grace your foyer with a replica of a Renaissance sculpture, or place it in your garden or backyard.

  6. Step 6

Visit art sites on your next trip to Italy, including the Vatican and the Gallery of the Accademia in Florence, home of Michelangelo's David.
