Six Flags Over Georgia is a theme park located in Georgia that offers thrill rides and family entertainment. The park operates on a limited schedule during the spring and autumn months, and is open daily in the summer. It is recommended that you visit in the off season in order to avoid the large summer crowds.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Consider a season pass to Six Flags Over Georgia. If you visit the park twice, a season pass pays for itself. Look at the season pass prices on the Six Flags Over Georgia website (see Resources below).
Step2
Grab a park map at the front gate. These maps help you find all of the attractions within Six Flags Over Georgia.
Step3
Visit the Cotton States Section of the park to find some of the best thrill rides in the park. Roller coasters in that area include Superman--Ultimate Flight, Ninja and The Great American Scream Machine.
Step4
Attend one of the Six Flags Over Georgia shows. One is the Wild West Comedy Gunfight that features Old West antics. Musical events change from year to year. Pick up a show schedule to see the offerings upon arrival.
Step5
Take the short drive to Six Flags White Water. This nearby water park has some of the best water rides in all of the country. For an additional fee, you can enjoy The Cliff Hanger, Tornado and Run-a-Way River.

Tips & Warnings

  • Six Flags Over Georgia has typical amusement park fare. Most of the eateries serve items like hamburgers, chicken fingers and fries. The food is expensive, so you may wish to eat outside of the park.
  • Although the rides do close during rainy weather, the park will remain open. Refunds are not offered because of inclement weather.
