2. Capitalize on your passion. Think about a hobby or interest that you are passionate about. Whether your passion lies in candles, scrapbooks, jewelry, cosmetics or even handbags, many favorite items have a direct selling or party plan type of program for potential sellers. Many of these companies offer a substantial discount to their representatives.

3. Offer a service. Some people are incredible organizers, house cleaners, gardeners, and have countless other talents. If you are particularly skilled at any of these services and enjoy doing them, decide how you can build a business around your talents. Working from home allows far less overhead than striking out in the world of brick and mortar businesses, which makes this option even more possible.

4. Search the Internet for the various business options that are available to you and that seem appealing. While searching, keep one thing in mind: if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. It is much better to go into the world of working from home with realistic expectations than find you are frustrated working from home due to unrealistic and overblown expectations.
