Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Put in where you are starting from. If this is a location that you will be using often, you can save it in the address book.
Step2
Input where you want to go. You can either type this information in or select it from your address book if it is already there. Just because you have been somewhere before doesn't mean you don't need help getting there again.
Step3
Calculate the route. The GPS will then ask you how you want the route calculated, for example, shortest time or shortest distance.
Step4
Follow the directions. A map will appear and show you which roads to take in order to reach your destination. This may take a few minutes to calculate. It is very precise. If you have also printed out directions from your computer you will probably see that there are some turns the GPS tells you to make that your computer printout doesn't show.
Step5
Use GPS for other things such as places to eat, places of interest and tour sights. Finding these can be challenging, but if you are a gadget person, you will do it with little effort.
Step6
Your Global Positioning System can also be used on your boat. You would follow the steps above in order to program it and just follow the route it tells you.
