Leprechauns, four leaf clovers, rainbows and a pot o' gold symbolize St. Patrick's Day. Making a pot o' gold with your kids is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Here are the steps to make a St. Patrick's Day pot o' gold.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cardboard craft box
  • Paint
  • Glitter glue pen
  • Glue
  • Glitter
  • Rhinestones
  • Chocolate gold coins
  1. Step 1

Buy a cardboard box from a craft store. Get the unfinished kind so you can decorate it to make it your very own. You can buy several different sizes. Choose your favorite.

  2. Step 2

Paint the exterior of the box green or pick your favorite color. Let the box dry completely before moving on to the next step.

  3. Step 3

Use a glitter glue pen to write the words "Pot o' Gold" on the lid of the box. Be careful not to smudge your letters. Keep your hand lifted as you write each letter.

  4. Step 4

Put four glue drops close together to create a four leaf clover for St. Patrick's Day. Sprinkle green glitter on the drops of glue. Add other interesting designs like a rainbow with the glue and glitter.

  5. Step 5

Glue rhinestones on your pot o' gold to add some sparkle. Use your own imagination to create your own pot o' gold design.

  6. Step 6

Fill your pot o' gold with your own special treasures. You may choose to fill yours with chocolate gold coins. Display your pot o' gold in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
