Trust no one. There are many people in your life who'll end up being liabilities if you get in trouble. This includes boyfriends, girlfriends, friends and most important, family members. So keep your distance, and keep your business secret. You never know when someone might turn on you.

Have a photographic memory. Spies don't keep PDAs, and neither should you. You must remember every little detail from the color of a person's shoes to the 15-digit security code for a safe-deposit box. You never know when a piece of information will come in handy, so never forget anything.

Learn to be a good con artist. A spy is nothing more than a criminal with a regular paycheck, so it's important that you understand the way that con men think. You need to know how to push people's buttons to get what you want. This may mean flirting with a potential target one day and befriending a drug dealer the next for some valuable tidbit of information.

Be attractive. In order to be a secret agent, you must be attractive enough to get people's attention. James Bond didn't get to where he is today by being hard on the eyes. So dress impeccably, and flash those pearly whites whenever the situation calls for it. Sometimes you'll have to bite the bullet and sleep with a beautiful woman. This is the price you pay for justice.
