Chances are if a democrat and republican are having a political discussion, it's not tame. The Founding Fathers already thought of that when they drew up the First Amendment right to free speech; the left blames the right, the right blames the left. Basically, they both want the same things: peace, security, prosperity. If you are a democrat, here are some ways to get a republican's attention.

Join a democrat activist group in your community. Exchange knowledge and ideas with others who have the same goals. Recruit family members or friends. Encourage them to get involved in learning and sharing liberal ideas.

Motivate the community to get involved. Hold a public debate between local democrat and republican groups to discuss major social and political issues. Invite community residents to participate in activities that represent the democrat position.

Nothing annoys republicans like a well informed population. Hence the reason they reject science, attack schools and hold a general distrust and resentment towards information. Perhaps also the reason they are attempting to turn the internet into an overpriced shopping mall with their attacks on net neutrality. -

Most people are ignorant of the party facts. Unfortunately, it's a great policy to keep people stupid and co-dependent on government. What would happen when people reach self-sufficiency? Allegiance to one party will be broken. Period.

Getting politically involved will annoy? That's all I got out of this article. Compare and contrast this against your "How to Annoy a Democrat". In your attempt to be "fair and balanced" you've written here a general outline that annoys no one & in the other you've used this format to spread your opinion about the party to which you are opposed, including misconceptions & party line definitions of Democrats that have little to do with reality. It only serves to nail you as one more person with fantasies about Democrats they can't back up because they're dug in too deep in their fantasies and enjoy the combativeness. I would add to the list of things to do - "regularly read news from foreign press and from more than one country, as the media in your own country is now devoted to Britney Spears and any inane trash that will distract you from the horror that is being done in your name."
