How to Design Address Labels in Pagemaker

If you need to make address labels then Pagemaker is a convenient program to use. You can use a label template that fits the size of your address labels. You can design them as desired, customize them using a picture or clip art. Follow these steps to design address labels in Pagemaker.

      Launch your Pagemaker program. From the template menu that pops up select "Labels." If this fails to occur then click on "Window,""Plug-in Palette" and "Show Scripts." Click on templates and select "Labels." Choose the label layout that you desire.

      Install the necessary font it prompted. If you do not have it you can substitute the font or go with the default font and change it later.

      Edit the text in the test field. Select the "T" tool then highlight and type over the text. Change the font at this time if you desire.

      Add a graphic if you chose a label with a spot for a graphic. You can choose a logo, picture or some clip art. Select the pointer tool then click on "File," "Place" then locate your graphic. Click "OK."

      Save your file in your documents folder or to portable media. If you're using portable media make sure to include your font and graphic on the disk.

      Print your address labels on label paper. Print one sheet first to make sure everything lines up correctly. To make minor adjustments click on "Edit," "Select All" and then pick the arrow tool. Utilize your keyboard arrow keys to move the labels in the desired direction.
