"It" girls are popular for being popular and famous for being famous. They're at the top of the social ladder and maintain their power by continuing to command attention. Once a girl becomes an "it" girl she can choose from any friends and boyfriends she wants. The real trick is getting to this position in the first place. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Create your own trends instead of following any other girl's lead. Pronounce any popular styles and fads as being passe.
Step2
Know what's going on all the time. Keep up with all the gossip, even among the unpopular types. Be the person to go to when people have a question about anyone. Be able to "dish" the gossip at any time.
Step3
Project an aura if confidence. Be confident that anything you say and do is correct, and if you don't feel that confident, fake it. Never let anyone else make you doubt that you have the right style and image.
Step4
Be personable and friendly to lots of different types of people. Cultivate popularity by being someone that everyone likes.
Step5
Stay in good shape with healthy eating and exercise. Keep away from unhealthy habits, such as cigarettes or drugs, which can harm your looks and tarnish your image. Keep a shape that others strive to attain.
Step6
Get involved in a wide variety of activities in order to meet as many people as possible and to cultivate varied interests. Use these interests to make conversation with anyone you meet. Impress everyone with the many things you are good at.
