How to Play Around the World

Around the world is played with a basketball on a basketball court. You can play with any number of players, but a game with three to five players is the most exciting. It is fun to play when you only have half a court to use. It also helps you improve your shooting skills. You can adjust the game to allow players of any skill level to play. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

1. Pick several places on the basketball court and mark them with tape. Each player will try to score a basket from each spot. When a player has scored from each shooting spot, they have gone around the world.

2. Start by taking a shot from the first location. If you make a basket, continue to the next spot and shoot. Move on until you miss a shot.

3. Take turns repeating what the first player just did.

4. Go back around the world for a longer game. You can also add challenges like shooting with your bad arm or alternating shooting arms.

Tips & Warnings

• One way to arrange the game is to have the 18 shooting spots. Put the first one on the key near the baseline, then half way up the key, then where the key meets the foul line. Add a spot in the middle of the foul line then go back down the key. Move half way between the key and the three point line and place three spots up the court. Do the same on the other side of the court. Then add five spots along the three point line.
