All parents have struggled with their children at some point over what they eat. You want your kids to eat more vegetables, but they run the other way every time they see anything that remotely resembles a pea or a carrot. The trick is to outsmart them. Learning how to sneak vegetables into your child's diet is your secret weapon to raising healthier kids.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Create burgers that pack a nutritional punch. Kids love hamburgers, so use this to your advantage. Finely chop carrots, celery, onions or bell peppers and mix them together with ground beef for nutritional burgers that your kids will love. This also works great for meatballs and meatloaves.
Step2
Bake your way to vegetable goodness. You can add a ton of different vegetables to breads, biscuits and cornbread mixes. Throw in a little cheese, and they'll never know the difference.
Step3
Sauce it up. If you want to sneak vegetables into your child's diet, do it in pasta sauces. You can put grated carrots, pumpkin or even squash into a regular tomato sauce and your kids will be none the wiser. You won't even be able to taste the difference.
Step4
Put vegetables in casseroles. Throwing a handful of vegetables into lasagnas and other casseroles is a quick way to get your kids to eat their veggies.
Step5
Liquify your vegetables. If your children prefer smoothies and fruit juice, you can purchase an inexpensive juicer and have your children drink their daily requirements.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you camouflage all the vegetables in your meals, your children will start to think that something's up. Always leave some vegetables out in the open.
