Things You'll Need:

  • White mushrooms
  • Cold water
  • Oven
  • Glass baking dish
  • Non-stick spray
  • Large bottle of Italian salad dressing
  • Pre-cooked ham
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Slotted serving utensil
  • Plates
  1. Step 1

    Purchase a packet of whole white mushrooms at your local grocery store. Rinse mushrooms with cold water and snap the stems from the mushroom caps. Discard stems.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat oven to 350F. Spray glass baking dish with a non-stick spray. Place mushrooms in baking dish, mushroom cap side down.

  3. Step 3

    Cover mushrooms with Italian salad dressing. Cut ham into 1/2 inch cubes. Place one ham cube into each mushroom cap.

  4. Step 4

    Sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese liberally over the mushrooms until the ham is mostly covered. Pour the remaining salad dressing on top of the mushrooms until each mushroom is covered with salad dressing.

  5. Step 5

    Bake this stuffed mushroom recipe for thirty minutes. Remove from oven and serve from the baking dish with a slotted serving utensil. Provide plates.

Tips & Warnings
  • Substitute onions, fish or other pre-cooked meats when you stuff your mushrooms for a different taste.
  • Experiment with Romano or Swiss cheese for a new taste. Try this recipe with other types of gourmet mushrooms.
