Decide what type of customer service job internship you are interested in. There are several different kinds of customer service jobs that you can focus on. For example, you can be a tech support representative, a call center customer service rep or an in-house customer service rep.

  3. Step 3

Talk with your academic adviser or career counselor to find out what internship opportunities are available through your college, or to find out what companies in your area have established customer service job internships. Your college rep may even be able to set up interview for you with local companies.

  4. Step 4

Identify companies that you would like to intern with. Select companies that are known for excellent customer service. This will provide you with good role models and excellent training on what you need to do to delivery superior quality customer service. Talk to the personnel manager at these companies and try to set up an interview or get more information about submitting your application for their internship program.
