A Blackberry without Bluetooth is like a CEO without a Blackberry. Blackberry hand-helds have revolutionized the world of cell phones and offer numerous benefits to their legions of loyal followers. Besides providing the usual mobile phone and text-messaging capabilities, a Blackberry lets you check your email, type documents, take pictures, manage a calendar, and dozens of other applications. Bluetooth headsets add even more convenience, allowing you to control your Blackberry and make and receive calls wirelessly. Setting up your Blackberry to work with a Bluetooth headset only takes a few minutes.

  9. Step 3

Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the handheld.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pair your Blackberry with any Bluetooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Bluetooth headset.
  • Remove your Bluetooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.
  • Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.
  • Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.
  • Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.
