Every July, the town of Eastleigh in Hampshire hosts the Point on the Park Festival at the Leigh Road recreation ground and in The Point Theater. This is a 5-day community music festival featuring concerts with a lineup of big-name bands. You'll also find daytime family entertainment events, workshops and stalls proffering a variety of local food, produce and fair-trade goods. If you enjoy live music and a livelier time, plan a getaway to Hampshire’s Point on the Park Festival.

  • Concert tickets

  1. Step 1

Find out which bands will be performing in the festival. The Point on the Park festival has featured bands like the Bootleg Beatles, Bluetones, Tunng, Hijera, Baghdaddies, Transglobal Underground and Achanak.

  2. Step 2

Access the Information Britain website, the Hampshire County Council website or The Point website for information about the dates, timings and ticket prices for the music festival.

  3. Step 3

Buy your tickets online from The Point website, the efestivals website or the MyTicketMarket website. You can also call the box office at The Point on 011 (+44) 23 8065 2333 for ticket booking information.

  4. Step 4

Make travel arrangements to go to Eastleigh by car, bus or train. Look up route information on Google Maps or Mappy Route finder if needed. The Hampshire Borough Council and the Eastleigh Borough Council websites both have detailed information on public transportation. You can also plan your journey by referring to the Traveline national portal.

  5. Step 5

Decide what kind of accommodation you want – camping, budget, bed and breakfast or hotel – look it up on the Information Britain website. They have detailed information on accommodation type, address, phone number, email, method of payment and available facilities like car hire, parking and TV. You can get directions to the place by entering your town, city or postcode in the search box, and tick or leave blank the "Avoid Motorways" and "Avoid Toll Roads" checkboxes.

  6. Step 6

Arrive at the venue and spend your time visiting the many stalls selling fair-trade goods and produce indigenous to Hampshire, participating in art and culture workshops, attending afternoon concerts and turning up for the evening highlights.
