Things You'll Need:
- Domain name Broker/Host
- CPC/Affiiliate Program
- Inital Capital for 100 Domain names (approx. $1000)
-
Step 1
First go to your domain name broker and search for avalible domain name that are generic. Generic domain name such as (cooking.com, business.co etc.) earn the most revenue from CPC or affiliate programs and also have the highest valuations in domain auctions.
-
Step 2
Once you have bought around 10-100 domains, you should sign up for a CPC or affiliate program such as www.clickbank.com or similar. Your domain name broker may have an affiliate program called Domain Parking, whereby you domains are parked on their servers and each domain hosts a page of advertisments based on the key advtertising market of the domain.
-
Step 3
Once you have setup you affiliate/domain parking (which is very easy and usually theres alot of help from the affiliate program) then you will start to get paid once people 'accidentally' visit you site and clik on the ad links provided by your affiliate program. For example someone looking for cooking info might type in www.cooking.com and arrive at your page, click on a link and vola.. you get paid!
-
Step 4
When it comes to selling your site you can go to www.sedo.com or a similar domain auction house. However as a domainer you should keep all your sites and just keep adding to the number of domain names you have. That way your vaule will just increase rather than selling off the profitable domains you have.
Usually once established domainers can be worth between $100,000-$10Million.. and sell their whole list of domains to advertising and/or PR firms in one deal.

on 12/3/2007 A great domain name registration site is RedTruckDomains.com
It's a lot like GoDaddy (in fact might be related) but a little less expensive.
RedTruckDomains.com has all the same features, service, security and support. Lots of additional free options like "WebSite Tonight", email accounts, hosting, blogs etc.
