Exercise is the curse of the century! People believe they need expensive equipment to achieve any results. People also believe it takes hours a day to get any benefit from exercise. Exercise Leslie Sansone has developed a system that puts you in the groove in 30 minutes or less. All you need to know are 4 basic steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Leslie's routines are designed to kick the energy up in 30 minutes or less. Her 5-Day Fit Walk DVD has a choice of routines to fit in your busy schedule. The fastest one is only 18 minutes and designed to get you acquainted with her 4 basic moves. The next time frame is only 20 minutes for a mighty power walk. The other three walking routines are set at 30 minutes. Her knowledge of muscle groups and engaging in deep muscle work- outs really works.
Step2
Basics:
The following steps give the four basic movements, but Leslie also adds arm movements for upper body toning. She encourages you to always follow at your own pace, and not to do anything that hurts you. If you want to use her product, Walk-Away-the-Pounds Weighted Balls that is fine, but just using a 1 or 2 pound dumbbell is just as effective. The dumbbell may be easier to hold for people who suffer from arthritis in their hands.
Step3
Walking in place:
This is simply walking, marching, whatever you want to call it in place. Put your sneakers on and move in the comfort of your own living room, at the convenience of your own schedule. To vary the routine and use different muscles Leslie will lead you in a forward two-step and back two steps sequence. You can feel the different muscle engaged
Step4
Side steps:
Simple side-to-side steps, sometimes double, but easy enough for a toddler to follow along. The secret is as you get in step and become used to her style, you sit into the movement, which adds more muscle resulting in burning more calories. To vary the routine and muscles used sometime Leslie will have you do a double side step.
Step5
Kicks:
Simply lift your leg and kick. Not hard, but it does take a little balance. The key here is that Leslie encourages you to do this at your own comfort level. If you want to do baby kicks, there is a featured person doing a modified version of everything Leslie does. As you progress in your workout your challenge is to lift and kick the leg higher.
Step6
Knee Lifts:
Again this is just a simple lifting of the knee. An average person can do this, but Leslie encourages you to lift at your own pace. After a few of these you are happy to go back to walking in place
