You may be entitled to the Widowed Parents Allowance if you have lost a spouse or civil partner, who had previously met the National Insurance contribution conditions. You may also be entitled to the allowance if you are expecting a child by your late husband or civil partner.
There are a few other requirements but you will need to seek further advice for each particular case.

If you would prefer to speak to someone regarding the allowance you can arrange an appointment with a benefits advisor at your local job centre, which is also another key resources area where you can pick up leaflets and information packs on the range of benefits and allowances.
