How to point out and learn the parts of a sailboat

Outhaul Hey All,

First things first let's start with the basics of knowing the parts, we have to know what they are before we can identify them.
Below is some information to help you do this. First step I would suggest a "Sailing For Dummies" Book as this should
have some very basic information on Sailing and should also provide you with the list of parts. If you cannot find that,
there is also, "The Idiots Guide to Boating and Sailing" This book has been looked over by me and does have quite
a bit of information in it. Along with pictures and diagrams of what each part is.

Forestay There are of course many different parts of a sailboat, Rigging, Spars, and Sails, a list of which can be found below.
