Turkish delight is one of traditional turkish desserts. I'll explain you how you can make this delicious delight.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 kg Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 lt. water
  • 1 (soup) spoon of lemon juice
  • 1 water glass ( 100gr ) of starch
  • 1/2 (tea) glass of water
  • 2 grams of tartar
  • 1 (tea) spoon of almond oil - To blend :
  • 1 (tea) spoon of starch
  • 1 water glass of castor sugar
  1. Step 1

    Put granulated sugar & water into casserole. Cook in over medium heat till the sugar melt ; after all sugar melt add lemon juice and keep cooking till mixture becomes lightly thicken. Throw off scum

  2. Step 2

    Put one water glass ( 100gr ) of starch & half (tea) glass of water into a cup and beat them. Add this mixture to casserole ( little by little & keep boiling ) while stiring. After adding mixture to casserole add tartar too and keep boiling till it reachs mastic form.

  3. Step 3

    Spread almond oil onto a tray by a cooking brush. Pour ingredients into the tray and leave them until it gets cool. Add some castor sugar and starch on a flat surface or table. On the surface , upside down to tray. Cut delight into equal small cubes. Approximately 1 inch each. Dredge some more castor sugar on top and put them in a glass case.
