Over the past couple of decades, Las Vegas has evolved considerably. Once a destination solely designed for adults, Las Vegas has become far more family friendly. Although the strip and its glamorous hotels are still home to some of the best gambling in the world, there are also numerous shows and spectacles--from world-renowned magic acts to the famed Cirque du Soleil. 1. Consider a magic show by one of Las Vegas's notorious magicians. Performers such as The Amazing Jonathan dazzle and confound almost nightly. You can also find a more affordable magic show by trying one of the newer magicians off the strip.
2. See a showgirl show if you're looking for an entertaining time with a lot of flash and flare. All the major hotel and casinos like Ballys, The Mirage, and The Tropicana have their own shows.
3. Try out a comedy club or one of the many popular stand-up comedians that roll in and out of Las Vegas every year. You'll find everything from hilarious newcomers on the verge of breaking to old standbys like Tim Allen and Gilbert Godfrey.
4. Let yourself be dazzled by an unforgettable Cirque du Soleil show. Try the Beatle themed "Love" at The Mirage. "O" at the Bellagio is the only Cirque du Soleil show that takes place entirely in and above water. At a Cirque show, you're guaranteed riveting theatrics, hilarious comedy and heartfelt performances.

Tips & Warnings

• Although the bigger (and more expensive shows) tend to be found on the Strip, there are numerous cheaper shows throughout the city.
• When selecting a show, make sure that it is appropriate for all members in your party. Showgirl revues and shows like "Zumanity" (by Cirque du Soleil) are strictly for adults.
• Keep in mind that casino floors are restricted. Visitors need to be 21 or over to gamble. Underage individuals can cross the casino floor accompanied but need to stay within clearly delineated areas.
