How to Go to the Sundance Film Festival, Utah

Contrary to the name, the Sundance Film Festival is not held at Sundance Resort, but in Park City, Utah. The Sundance Film Festival gives budding film artists a chance to have their films viewed and their talents discovered. The festival is held for just over a week each year, and dozens of films are shown. Experience the Sundance Film Festival and be introduced to a world of new talent in film.

  • Festival tickets
  • Airline reservations
  • Rental car reservations
  • Lodging reservations
  • Warm winter clothing
  1. Step 1

    Reserve tickets to the festival. Purchase tickets in the early fall either online at the Sundance Institute website or by calling (877) SFF-STAY.

  2. Step 2

    Make lodging reservations well in advance of the festival. Find lodging information at the Park City Chamber of Commerce website.

  3. Step 3

    Make airline reservations as soon as festival tickets are secured. Fly into the Salt Lake City, Utah International airport.

  4. Step 4

    Make rental car reservations. Visit the Salt Lake City Rental Car website for rental information. Make rental reservations at the same time as air.

  5. Step 5

    Pack clothing that is warm and can be worn in layers. Pack a winter parka, hat, gloves and boots.

  6. Step 6

    Take a tour of the 2002 Olympic facilities while visiting Park City. Take a slide down the bobsled run or test your skills on the luge.

  7. Step 7

    Spend time on the slopes at the Park City Ski Resort. Bring your own ski equipment, or rent it all from the rental shop at the resort.
