If you are going shopping online, one rule is to never click the "Buy" button without searching for an online coupon. You might be able to find discount codes or coupons online that can help save you money on your purchase or on shipping costs. If you want to save some money with online coupons, there are a few things you should remember.

1. Decide which items you wish to purchase online. Look on several online stores and find exactly what you want. Put the purchases in your shopping cart, but don't check out yet!

2. Use a search engine, such as Google, to find online coupons. If you are shopping at a specific store, you can search for the store's name followed by "coupon code." If you don't have a particular store in mind, search simply for "coupon code."

3. Browse the results. If you have searched by a specific store, look at the links displayed for coupon codes. If you did not search for a specific store, you will get links for websites that list coupon codes for many stores. You can search on these sites by store name or by product/service category.

4. Enter the online coupon code you want to use in the correct place on the website where you are shopping. Sometimes, the online coupon codes are entered in a promotional code or savings code box during checkout and sometimes, the code is entered in the shopping cart.

5. Make sure that the online coupon was applied to your order. Check your new total cost after entering the online coupon code. If the online coupon was not applied, it may be that the coupon has expired. Try to search again for a new coupon to use.

• Sometimes only one online coupon can be used per order. Check the policies for the specific store where you are shopping to see if this is the case.
• To get up to date coupons from your favorite stores or from online coupon websites, sign up for email newsletters. These newsletters can include new online coupons and information on sales or other deals.
• Look at multiple sites when searching for an online coupon so you can be sure to find the best deal.
