Making yourself feel pretty is not as easy as it sounds. Feeling pretty may not have anything to do with looks or physical appearance, but there are some things you can do to help make yourself feel pretty. Learn how to feel pretty by following these steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get a makeover done at a cosmetic counter or salon. Many cosmetic counters in department stores give free or inexpensive makeovers if you buy at least one product. Having your makeup done by a professional, and not the way you normally wear it, can have a great affect on your mood and outlook.

  2. Step 2

Walk into a hair salon and allow a beautician to give you a new hairstyle. You may go for a completely new color and cut or simply let them style your hair how they want. A different hair style or cut can go a long way in making you feel good about yourself.

  3. Step 3

Wear new or borrowed clothes that you wouldn't normally buy. Wear something bright or daring, not something that you would find hanging in your closet at home. Getting into new clothes can make you feel more outgoing and excited.

  4. Step 4

Visit a nail salon and have a manicure and pedicure. These don't have a big effect on how you look, but you feel feminine and pretty afterwards.

  5. Step 5

Go out on the town with a few girlfriends after your day of new hair, nails, makeup and clothes. Get dressed up and go out to eat or to a party. Showing off your new look, even if it is only for one night, can make you feel pretty.
